Rochester House of Prayer
*Designed to reflect the tabernacle of David (1 Chronicles 22-24),
RHOP is a developing, multi-faceted, worship and intercessory ministry to the body of Christ in the Rochester region.
*With a vision to host continual worship of Jesus and intercession for the world, our goal is to build a "corporate altar" of night and day prayer,
to create a place where the presence of God is the distinguishing mark, and the power and activity of His Spirit is honored and welcomed.
We desire to be a people who are living out the reality of “Christ in us” and to be activated to see the glory of God among us. We long to see His kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Developing formats of worship and prayer include:
Intercession, Worship with the Word, Prophetic Worship and Devotional Worship.
In addition, we host a Divine Encounter session with the heart to see the Lord specifically minister to those who attend the session.
The prayer room is set in a relaxed atmosphere where you may come and go
as you please.
Intercession sets are largely more energetic as the room is invited to engage in corporate prayer. These sets have a specific prayer focus, where the worship team invites the individuals in the room to pray on the microphone. Also, we may include cycles of rapid fire prayer, which are simply 5 second prayers offered on the microphone in succession. It usually begins with an associate prayer leader and ends after several people have participated.
Worship with the Word (WWW) sets are a good time to read the Word and enter into prayerful agreement. Worship with the Word is a prayer format in which we agree with God's heart as we sing the biblical truths of who God is and what He promises to do. The Prayer Leader throughout the set, prays the scripture which has been designated by the worship team over the microphone and then team singers echo and develop the heart of each intercessory target.
Prophetic Worship (PW) sets are Holy Spirit led, coordinated by the Prayer leader and echoed by the team of worshiping musicians and singers. Often spontaneous, these sessions "flow" to express what the Spirit is saying during this session of prayer.
Devotional Worship (DW) sets are intimate times of receiving from the Lord. People are encouraged to listen, journal, sketch, meditate and focus on Jesus in a quiet non-distracting environment as one musician ministers to the Lord.
Divine Encounter (DE) sets are purposefully designed to minister in a prayerful atmosphere to those who attend. Whether to pray for specific healing, release personal prophetic song or encourage through soaking prayer, the leadership team coordinates this session with Spirit led sensitivity.
